In order for your dog to take part in one of our Board & Train programs they must be fully vaccinated. Proof of Veterinary records required before dog can stay on the property. What we require and recommend:

 

  • Bordatella

  • Canine Influenza (H3N8, H3N2)

  • Rabies

  • Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza (DHPP)

  • Leptospira

First Rate Canine specializes in In-Home board and train. We provide realistic training scenarios.  During their stay your dog lives on the property with others dogs and our Certified Trainers. We incorporate the same rules that the dogs have at the owner's home.We can customize our packages, prices and training to fit our clients and their dog(s).

 Our Trainers have over 11years of experience training and handling a variety of different dogs. From Yorkies, Poodles, Dobermans, German Shepherds, Pitbulls, Great Danes, Boston Terriers, Dachshunds, etc. We deal with many different behaviors like deaf dogs, aggression, digging, leash reactive, shy, fearful, resource guarding people, toys, food, etc. 

What services do you want? What kind of Trainer are you looking for? Is the Trainer qualified/experienced enough for what you need or want? What training methods do they use?  What level of Obedience do you want your dog to achieve- Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Off Leash? If doing private lessons how many lessons should this take? Is there more then one way to teach or fix an issue?

Look for Trainers that will build a relationship with you and your dog, and will continue to help and answer any questions you have before, during and after training. Make sure you feel comfortable with that trainer before hiring.
